Dmitri Hvorostovsky.  Recipient of the prestigious Best Voice tribute.  The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) describes Hvorostovsky’s voice as that of an exquisite baritone.  Recognised as one of the most exciting singers of the last twenty years this popular singer is considered by many to be one of the best opera stars of our time.

The internationally celebrated baritone’s repertoire includes more than thirty leading operatic roles. These include Eugene Onegin, Don Juan, Rigoletto, Le Figaro, etc.  In addition to such superlative performances the famous artiste brings life to many songs composed by Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Glinka, Rubinstein and others. The great baritone collaborates with such prominent conductors as Valery Gergiev, Lev Kontorovich, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Spivakov, Bernard Haitink and comparable musicians.

Dmitri Hvorostovsky defines and evokes a unique period in the vocal arts.  Such is his international reputation that tickets for his performances sold out within hours of their being made available in Milan, Rome, London, Vienna and New York.

Dmitri Hvorostovsky performs his art form in such a way as to become the song rather than to sing it.   In partnership with the accompanying music and his gifted fellow artistes the distinguished baritone’s performances are in perfect harmony with the highest aspirations of audiences.

To the accompaniment of each note played by his high-ranking pianist, Ilya Ivari, the illustrious baritone’s voice resonates perfectly with the most demanding audiences.

It has been said that the impossibly handsome Dmitri Hvorostovsky breaks all classical musician stereotypes.  However, to describe the talents of this Russian opera singer in words is near impossible without poetic input.  His singing is from the heart to the heart. It has to be more than heard, it has to be experienced at a live performance.

Such opportunity will present itself on February 3, 2014 at Wiesbaden and February 6, 2014 in Baden-Baden.  On these occasions Dmitri Hvorostovsky will perform recitals and works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Modest Mussorgsky, Franz Liszt.
