The theatre regularly performs in Germany, Holland, Denmark, Israel, Spain, Italy, the Peoples Republic of China, Poland, Slovenia, U.S., Finland, France, Switzerland, South Korea and many other nations.

The Boris Eifman Ballet troupe appears on the world’s leading theatrical stages.  These include the famed London Coliseum, New York City Centre, Paris Theatre des Champs d’Elysees, Bolshoi Theatre, Berlin Staatsoper, Teatro Arcimboldi La Scala and a great many other acclaimed theatres.

The troupe’s original name was the Leningrad ‘New Ballet’.  This was succeeded by the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman formed in 1977.   The conceptual team was both bold and brilliant.  Its genesis was the creation of its author, theatre director, choreographer all in one exclusive dance academy.

The troupe’s premier performances, ‘Two’ and ‘Boomerang’ brought much success and fame.  It inspired critics to write about revolutionary new trends in the arts of Russian ballet.  Thus were created performances of differing flexible choreographic dimensions that epitomised the passions of heroes: ‘Duel‘, ‘Idiot’ ‘Crazy Day’, ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ ‘Legend’, ‘The Twelfth Night’, ‘The Master and Margarita’, ‘Killers’ and others.

Today the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre is applauded by devotees of dance art throughout North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia including Australia.  Its theatre performances ‘Tchaikovsky’,  ‘I – Don Quixote’, ‘Red Giselle’, ‘Russian Hamlet’, ‘Anna Karenina,’ ‘The Seagull’, ‘Onegin’,  ‘Rodin’ and  ‘On the Other Side of Sin’.

These authentic performances, presented by the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman, have earned global recognition at the highest artistic level of achievement of modern Russian ballet. These performances engage audiences, add to the enduring spiritual heritage of world culture, and inspire choreographers and artistes.
